Flight Deals Goes Global with Conversational AI

Google is revolutionizing travel planning with a major expansion of its AI capabilities announced on November 17, 2025. The company’s Flight Deals feature, originally launched in August 2025 for the US, Canada, and India, is now available in over 200 countries and territories with support for more than 60 languages. This conversational AI tool allows travelers to simply describe what they’re looking for—such as “I want a cheap weekend getaway somewhere warm”—and receive personalized flight recommendations from over 300 airline partners, eliminating the need for rigid search parameters and specific dates.

Canvas and Agentic Booking Transform Trip Planning

Beyond flight search, Google is introducing Canvas, an AI-powered trip planning assistant integrated into Google’s AI Mode that combines real-time flight and hotel data with Google Maps reviews and information from across the web. Canvas enables travelers to create comprehensive itineraries by describing their requirements in natural language, then refining plans by weighing tradeoffs like hotel location versus amenities. Additionally, Google’s new agentic booking capabilities automate reservations across multiple categories including restaurants (via OpenTable, Resy, and Tock), event tickets (through Ticketmaster and StubHub), and local appointments for beauty and wellness services. These features are currently available to US users, with restaurant booking accessible to everyone and other services requiring Google Labs access.

The Future of Seamless Travel Booking

Looking ahead, Google is partnering with major travel providers including Booking.com, Expedia, Marriott International, and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts to enable direct flight and hotel booking within AI Mode. This integration represents a fundamental shift in travel technology, allowing users to complete their entire journey—from initial inspiration to final booking confirmation—through simple conversational interactions. By combining natural language processing, AI-powered recommendations, and seamless multi-platform integration, Google is transforming travel planning into an experience as simple as chatting with a knowledgeable friend, with global accessibility ensuring travelers worldwide can benefit from these innovations.
